This post begins a new Weekly Spotlight series for repurposed goods. And sometimes, we’ll feature an awesome FREE giveaway, like this week!

Felted Heart

If you haven’t yet discovered felted wool, then you’re in for a treat! Felted Heart creates beautiful handmade goods from repurposed wool using a process called “felting.” And this week, they’re giving away, for FREE, one of their beautiful items to a repurposeful reader.

What is repurposed wool, you ask? It’s when out-of-season and out-of-style wool sweaters, often found at thrift stores or garage sales, find new life as a repurposed good. For Mary, the owner of and artist at Felted Heart, repurposed wool is the muse for her one-of-a-kind clothing, toys, home accessories and poochie products.

You can win an adorable t-shirt or onesie with wool applique from Felted Heart just by posting a comment. To enter this giveaway, check out Felted Heart’s Web site and leave a comment on this post to tell us about your favorite product.

To get a second entry, subscribe to repurposeful‘s feed and leave a second comment on this post to let me know that you are a new subscriber. The deadline for this giveaway is Sunday, February 15 at midnight, EST. I’ll announce the winner (chosen randomly) on Monday morning.

I love the repurposed wool idea. I have been crocheting alot lately and have some old ‘wholely’ sweaters good will wouldn’t even want. I think I may rip them apart and make a hat!

I love the felted ponchos for wee girls. I am a Waldorf Mom and felt is our mainstay.
But my favorite thing is the dog snuggly; I know it was shown on a toy dog but my corgi, Samwise, would look handsom(er) in one.
