As a mom with a soft spot for the environment, I often wonder how best to teach my children to be eco-conscious. Many things they will naturally pick up by watching (recycling, growing a garden, composting). But the intangible concepts, like conserving water and reducing pollution, are a bit more difficult to convey. What to do?
Meet the Idbids. The educational Idbids characters, including Scout the cloud, Lola the flower and Waverly the water drop, teach children all about “iddy biddy steps for a greener world.” Each Idbids Starter Kit includes one of the plush Idbids characters made from 100 % organic Egyptian cotton, a book — printed on recycled paper — that features the Idbids and talks about the Earth and ways to make a difference, and a field guide on which kids can chart their progress in achieving the 10 iddy biddy steps. And, as you might imagine, the packaging on all of the Idbids products is eco-friendly, folding out into a playland with paper doll cut outs.
Doesn’t this sound like an awesome (and fool-proof) way to get your kids to become more Earth-friendly?
As luck would have it, Idbids has graciously offered to give away an Idbids Starter Kit to one repurposeful reader! (Aren’t you lucky!) Interested? Here are the details:
